We had quite a few adventures this summer, so I'll probably be separating them into a few posts. First, and probably the most exciting, JOSH GRADUATED! He now has three BA degrees in Mandarin Chinese, International Studies, and Asian Studies.

What next? Well we don't know. He spent the summer job hunting, and playing xbox, and job hunting, and just last week something finally came around. He's working for a company called The Steal Network (kidsteals.com, babysteals.com, scrapbooksteals.com) doing warehouse inventory and whatnot. Of course this is not a career position, but it's money and I won't argue with that! He's taking the Foreign Service Officer Test in October, which is what I want the very most. He is also considering the NSA, who will hire him in a second but he's not sure about keeping so many secrets and sitting in a cubical all day. Keep your fingers crossed for the FSOT, I would LOVE to get paid to travel the world!

Lately I've been thinking about how lucky we are to live in such a great neighborhood, and we're especially lucky to have such a great apartment! I complain sometimes because our bathroom and kitchen is outdated and we have no dishwasher... But $575/month for a 2-bedroom in Holladay (not to mention we can have a dog)? I have NO reason to complain! Because I have quite a few friends who have never had the chance to come to our apartment, and probably never will, I'm going to give a "virtual tour" right now!

First... Our living/family/theater/piano teaching room:

Now for the kitchen/dining room:

The bathroom:

Aaaand the bedroom (complete with a lazy dog on the bed):

Oh right... the other bedroom. Actually, it's more like a library/gym/office/toy room/workshop. Brace yourselves, this could get ugly:

Ouch. Well there you have it! Our first apartment. Now who wants to come over for dinner and games? :) I promise not to make you go in the second bedroom.
